We just started taking orders again for backpacks, shelters, etc. There is currently a waiting list of about 4-6 weeks. Backpack and tent orders are custom built one at a time, but not necessarily in the order received. If you need your gear by a certain date for a trip just let us know and we will make sure it arrives on time.

Cuben Fiber Tarps

Tarps are available as custom orders. I can do any size you need, just email me if it is not shown here. The price will be inline with the examples below, depending on the size.

These are built when you order, there is currently a waiting list for backpacks, tents, etc. See the notice at the top of the page for the timeframe.

Features:
  • Constructed from .6 oz/sqyd cuben fiber fabric.
  • Specially designed seams hold strong and prevent any separation of the thin material. The tie outs are reinforced with 1.5 oz/sqyd cuben material.
  • A free tube of Sil Net is included for you to seal the seams. The seam sealer will add about .2 to .3 ounces to the weight of the tarp.
  • A mini or small sized stuff sack is included and adds about .1 ounce.
  • Guy lines and stakes are sold separately.
  • Many Options available below.
  • All ZPacks gear has a one year warranty against defects in materials or workmanship. Returns or exchanges are welcome.

Note that all weights are estimated and may be off by a tenth of an ounce or so.

Perimeter tie out loop Options:
8 Loops: At the four corners and the center of each side (recommended for the smaller tarps)
10 Loops: At the four corners, at the center of the short side, two each on the long sides.
12 Loops: Good for the 8 x 10 tarp. (3 loops along the long sides)

Additional tie out loops
I can add additional loops anywhere you want. Some common examples:
-inside the ridge line for hanging bug netting or other items
-outside of the ridge line for hanging the tarp from branches
-additional perimeter tie outs
-tie outs on the walls of the tarp as shown.

You will have to let me know where you want them after you order.

Catenary Arched Ridge Line
An arched ridge line may aid in a taught pitch, but it also limits your set up options.

Trekking Pole Cups
These triangular fabric cups go over the handles of you trekking poles and make propping your tarp up very easy. They can be attached to any tie out, and can be moved around as needed for different set up configurations. They are made with double layered 1.5 oz/sqyd Cuben Fiber and are very sturdy.

A stuff sack and Sil Net seam sealer are included.

Guy lines are not included. Spectra Z-line cord works well.

Stakes are not included. 6" Titanium sakes are a good choice.

A ground sheet is not included.  Tyvek or a Cuben Fiber ground sheet are available.
