Welcome to ZPacks.com!

All of the backpacks below have the same design. The only difference is the size, and the material. You choose the Size, the Material, and the Options that are right for you. Every backpack is custom built when you order. Backpack Orders are currently shipping in about Six Weeks.

Z1 Ultralight Silnylon Backpack

ZPacks™ "Zilch", and "Z1" Sil-Nylon Backpacks

These are the original ZPacks backpacks, constructed from a combination of 1.3 oz/sqyd silicone impregnated nylon, and 2.4 oz/sqyd coated nylon. These packs are reasonably durable, and comparatively inexpensive. In my experience they will last about 1,200 miles. They are a good choice for casual ultralight backpacking with loads up to 20 lbs.

Zilch - 2,000 cubic inches, 3.6 oz / 102 grams, $80*
Z1 - 2,600 cubic inches, 4.2 oz / 119 grams, $85*
Z2 - 3,200 cubic inches, 4.7 oz / 133 grams, $90*

ZPacks™ "Blast" Cuben Fiber Ultralight Backpacks

The "Blast" series of packs are made from a tough 1.5 oz/sqyd variety Cuben Fiber fabric. The material is difficult to puncture or tear, while still being extremely light. The material can handle 25 to 30 lbs but lighter loads are encouraged! I carried a Blast 26 pack on both my 2,663 mile Pacific Crest Trail thru-hike, and on my 2,651 mile Continental Divide Trail thru-hike. The expected life span is one full thru-hike.

Blast 20 - 2,000 cubic inches, 3.3 oz / 94 grams, $110*
Blast 26 - 2,600 cubic inches, 3.9 oz / 110 grams, $120*
Blast 32 - 3,200 cubic inches, 4.3 oz / 122 grams, $130*

ZPacks™ Dyneema X Gridstop Backpacks

Dyneema X Gridstop is a heavy duty 4.2 oz/sqyd material that is used in some "heavyweight" backpacks. Each white dyneema thread can hold over 150 lbs. A secondary ripstop grid is angled at 45 degrees. This material may be overkill, but if you are looking for a rugged, relatively light backpack that can stand up to abuse this is it.

Dyneema X 20 - 2,000 cubic inches, 7.4 oz, $110
Dyneema X 26 - 2,600 cubic inches, 8.7 oz, $120
Dyneema X 32 - 3,200 cubic inches, 9.6 oz, $130

*Prices and weights do not include Options such as a belt, etc.

Pictures coming soon. If you want to order a Dyneema pack now you can upgrade any Cuben Fiber backpack to Dyneema from the Options page for the same price.

ZPacks™ "Zero" Stuff-Sack-Pack

The Zero is built just like the other backpacks except that it has zero pockets. You can add individual pockets or options to turn it into a full featured pack if desired.
  • Use it as a stuff sack / daypack inside a larger backpack
  • Use it as a child's backpack
  • Add individual pockets or options to create a very ultralight pack.

Available in 1,000, 1,500, and 2,000 cubic inch sizes.
2 oz / 57 grams and up!  Price: $39 and up.
